In the legendary event that Bike magazine has called the “Super Bowl” of slopestyle mountain biking, one man—American Nicholi Rogatkin—has a chance to achieve what formerly seemed impossible: capturing the Crankworx Triple Crown title.
Rogatkin took advantage of this year’s added stop in Innsbruck to claim his second Crankworx World Tour slopestyle win of 2017, beating Canada’s Brett Rheeder in what most experts agree were the two best runs in slopestyle history. A third win would not only clinch the Triple Crown of Slopestyle, but the World Tour title as well, adding the biggest total event prize in slopestyle mountain biking—$50,000—to the American’s earnings for the season.
To get there, he may have to surpass even his own expectations on a course loaded with more hits and jumps than any other course on the Crankworx World Tour, including new twists never before seen at Whistler.
