BASYE, VA – Virginia's Bryce Bike Park is kicking Old Man Winter to the curb sooner than expected and has announced a 2017 opening weekend of April 15 and 16. The park will be 100-percent open and operate on an early season schedule, weekends 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., until mid-June when regular season hours commence.
BASYE, VA – Bryce Bike Park has announced its 2017 Winter Bike Jam will be held Saturday, February 25, at 5 p.m. The race will feature a Le Mans start and heat format, and take racers down the Redeye ski slope through slalom style gates. The entirely on-snow course will feature berms, rollers and table-tops. Cost is $25 per person.
BASYE, VA – Bryce Bike Park has re-imagined the downhill run Pickleback as its new signature black diamond jump trail. The trail is approximately 90 percent complete and currently open to riders during normal park hours, with completion scheduled by the weekend of November 19 and 20.
MASSANUTTEN, VA – Massanutten Bike Park is offering downhill clinics Saturday, October 29, and Sunday, October 30, courtesy of Take Aim Cycling, LLC. There will be a women's clinic as well as jumping and cornering skills clinics. Each clinic will be three hours long and limited to six people per session.
BASYE, VA – Bryce Bike Parkwill wind down 2016 this weekend, operating Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23. While this weekend is the last guaranteed for the park to be open, Bryce says it may continue operating weekends on a case by case basis, weather permitting, as long as possible.
MASSANUTTEN, VA – Massanutten Bike Park dropped the rope today on All or Nutten, its newest black tech trail. The 0.7 mile trail splits off the resort's World Cup track and descends along one of the mountain's natural spines offering views that threaten to steal focus from the raw off-camber corners and drops, according to Scott Wootten, Massanutten's lead bike park supervisor.
HARRISONBURG, VA – Massanutten Resort announced today that construction of its all-new lift-served bike park is officially underway with a target opening of July, 2016. The resort already offers an extensive singletrack network accessible via pedal power in the summer months, but 402 Trails, based out of Greenville, VA, has been tasked with downhill duties.
