MAMMOTH LAKES, CA — Perhaps the signature event of the 2015 Kamikaze Bike Games at Mammoth Mountain, the Legends race took place on the Kamikaze course over two stages for a combined total of more than 3,000 feet of elevation loss over 5 miles. While not technical in the traditional sense, it's possible to reach speeds close to 60 miles per hour on the loose gravel and pumice, and most of the legends weren't far off. The pro downhill course dropped 1,130 feet over 1.5 miles on Bullet, one of Mammoth's signature tracks and home to the Rock Garden, a section of trail well known amongst hecklers and racers alike.

MAMMOTH LAKES, CA — New USAC National Champions were crowned last weekend at Mammoth Mountain Bike Park following plenty of dry, dusty action. The track was slightly different this year, with some rocks pulled and jumps added to make times faster. The speeds some racers carry is quite terrifying and with everyone turning up the speeds that tiny bit, there was plenty of carnage.
