MASCOTA, MEX. — The North American Enduro Tour recently wrapped up South of the Border with the Big Mountain Enduro Sierra Madre, dawing riders from Canada, the U.S., Mexico and as far away as Scotland to Mascota for two days of climbing the rolling countryside and dropping into technical, rocky descents and small Mexican towns.
MAMMOTH LAKES, CA — The 2016 Kamikaze Bike Games at Mammoth Mountain kick off this Thursday and will mark the second to last weekend of bike park operations. Now in the fourth year of its modern incarnation, the event will take place Thursday, September 15 through Sunday, September 18, and feature Dual Slalom, Cross Country, Enduro (part of the California Enduro Series), Pro GRT Downhill and more. The original Kamikaze games ended in 2001.
MAMMOTH LAKES, CA – The Mammoth Mountain Bike Park recently dropped the ropes on its newest trail, Smooth Operator, and freeride legend Cam Zink just happened to be in town. The resort says the signature jump trail picks up where Pipeline left off, with a series of step-ups, step-downs and some flowy features that make it a fitting sequel to Pipeline, and allows riders to link the two for all new line down the mountain. MAMMOTH LAKES, CA — Perhaps the signature event of the 2015 Kamikaze Bike Games at Mammoth Mountain, the Legends race took place on the Kamikaze course over two stages for a combined total of more than 3,000 feet of elevation loss over 5 miles. While not technical in the traditional sense, it's possible to reach speeds close to 60 miles per hour on the loose gravel and pumice, and most of the legends weren't far off. But what bikes did they ride?
