Even though your social media feeds are starting to fill with powder pics from resorts already pushing ski passes, bike park season isn't close to over yet. Heck, summer isn't even officially over until September 21.
GRANBY, CO – Summer is approaching in the high country of Colorado and lifts will be turning this weekend at Bike Granby Ranch, making it the first in the state. The park opens Friday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will operate Wednesday through Sunday.
While many of us take to skis and snowboards in the winter months, the time between our chairlift seasons can seem like an eternity. Most bike parks are buried, and even for those of us who love playing in powder, months without riding two wheels can be torture. Slow, painful torture. Sure, some of us are lucky enough to live in sunny climes and ride year-round, or we get breaks in the weather to sneak in some shuttle runs and pedal some laps, but many resorts are giving riders winter options. Here's a list of upcoming winter bike events going on at bike parks around North America to keep you shredding until the snow melts.
It's that time of year. Your social media feeds are likely full of autumn colors from riding camarades and at the same time, powder pics from resorts already pushing ski passes. But if you're like us, you're looking to get the most bike park laps possible before the lifts stop loading bikes. And with more bike parks than ever before operating long into October (and November), it's all time fall time for some of the best laps of the season.
GRANBY, CO –The third race in the Loose Gravity Series, the "Downhill Mashup" descends upon Granby Ranch this Sunday, September 11. The two-stage event will take racers down two different timed tracks, combining the scores for an overall that will count for the win.
