SNOWSHOE, WV – Snowshoe Bike Park has announced a 2017 opening day of Friday, May 26. The bike park will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. "Get ready to sling some dirt as we start spinning the lifts and kick off another awesome downhill mountain biking season at Snowshoe Bike Park," said the bike park on its Facebook page.
DULUTH, MN – Spirit Mountain continues to pioneer the possibilities for lift served fat biking, and the Frosted Fatty clebration last week continued the tradition with downill fat bike racing, dual slalom and even a cross-country race for the snow-loving massochists in the crowd. ANGEL FIRE, NM – Angel Fire Bike Park recently announced it will open May 19 for 2017, and will hold its two-day 'Demo Daze' festival Memorial Day weekend, May 27 and 28. The resort hopes to open with more than 60 miles of trail, and bikes from the likes of Yeti, Santa Cruz and YT Industries among others will be available during the subsequent festival.
OLIVER SPRINGS, TN – The new Windrock Bike Park will host the kick-off stop of the 2017 USA Cycling Pro GRT Wednesday, March 8 through Sunday, March 12. Opened to the public in 2017 by World Cup racer Neko Mulally, Windrock Bike Park features 2,150 feet of vertical drop on raw technicall terrain.
SUN VALLEY, ID – Fat bike racing returns to Sun Valley on Saturday, February 25, with the 3rd Annual Snowball Special Fat Bike race. This year, the race is a part of the Frosty’s Fat Bike Race Series. All categories will race at 9:00 a.m. for either one loop (10.5 miles) or two loops (21 miles). Packet pickup and registration is Friday, Feb. 24 from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at Sawtooth Brewery. Participants may enter online for $40 until midnight. The entry fee increases to $50 on race day.

GREER, AZ –Sunrise Park Resort has anounced it will hold its first Snow Course Mountain Bike Challenge on Saturday, February 25. The race will be held no a half-mile snow covered course featuring berms and jumps with a cash prize of a yet undisclosed amount. Best of all? It's free.
MARSHALL, NC – North Carolina's year-round Bailey Mountain Bike Park has announced 'Gravity Academy,' a series of downhill skills clinics, with coach Chuck Pitts. Pitts, a professional downhill racer with more than three decades of experience, will guide riders through courses ranging from the DH 101 for beginners to Intro to Racing for those looking to take their riding to the competitive level.
VALDEZ, AK – The Second Annual Chugach Fatbike Bash returns to Valdez March 1 through 5, 2017, and will mark the debut of the World Fat Freeride Championship. You heard that right—freeriding fat bikes in Alaska. The event will also feature a fat bike 'rodeo,' cross-country race and a 'Big Air, Big Splash' event sending riders hurtling into the frigid waters of the Prince William Sound.
