So we have hand-picked a wide range of events,m activities and other ways you can enjoy the holiday, bringing you, your bike and your posse together for three epic days of fun in the sun.
SNOWSHOE, WV – Registration for the Snowshoe Classic Downhill and Dual Slalom race is now open. Scheduled for August 19 and 20 at Snowshoe Bike Park, the weekend is said to feature a "throwback" downhill track and a dual slalom track of National Championship caliber.
The Enduro World Series has revealed its 2018 calendar as it continues to host races in exotic riding destinations around the globe. The series sixth season will once again feature eight rounds across three continents, and will start the first half of the year with four completely new venues. Whistler will be the only North American stop.
WINDHAM, NY – Windham Mountain Bike Park will host the Pro GRT / XCT Saturday, August 12 through Sunday, August 13, 2017. The event, expected to draw professional and amateur downhill and cross-country athletes from around the world to compete for $20,000 pro purse and amateur prizes, will run on a similar course to the previous UCI World Cup events for which the resort is known.
KELLOGG, ID – Silver Mountain Bike Park will be hosting women's only group rides known as "Dirty Ladies Days" every Friday in August and Saturday in September. This event is free with the purchase of a lift ticket or season pass and is open to women of any age or skill level. Group rides are at 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. and are led by Silver Mountain bike patroller and instructor, Miracle Solmonson.
KILLINGTON, VT – Killington Mountain Bike Park launches the Killington Divas of Dirt, an initiative led by pro downhill/enduro Racer Amy Alton and the Killington Bike Park to build a community of passionate female mountain bikers, beginning Friday, July 7. The events look to bring together the female mountain bike community of all abilities with group rides on select days throughout the summer.
WINTER PARK, CO – The 2017 Colorado Freeride Festival soldiered on following heavy rain Friday night into Saturday morning at Trestle Bike Park. Unsuprisingly, no one seemed too worried about getting wet, and the Intergalactic Pond Crossing went on as scheduled. Despite the hero dirt and cool temps left behind on Saturday once the rain subsided, slopestyle finals were moved to Sunday. Both slopestyle and downhill took place under sunny, blue skies on Sunday.
WINTER PARK, CO – The 2017 Colorado Freeride Festival is heading into its third day under dark and rainy skies at Trestle Bike Park. Conditions on Thursday and Friday were favorable, with Air DH taking flight on Upper Rainmaker Thursday, Super D taking riders down Shy Ann into Boulevard on Friday, as well as the groms beginning the Green Horn-It! Challenge before being postponed by weather. Slopestyle qualifying has been heated as well. Check out the results and some photos from the action so far.
VIRGIN, UT – The 12th edition of Red Bull Rampage returns to Utah on October 27, 2017, and will include new terrain. Pre-qualified athletes have been announced, including Brandon Semenuk, Kurt Sorge and Kyle Strait, who have all taken home the gold twice in years past, setting them up for the potential hat trick this year.
