Virgin, UT – Makken Haugen sends it deep on his first run at the massive GoPro Step Down. “It’s not the smartest thing, contest wise, to start with the biggest objects on the line,” says Haugen, “but I just wanted to get it over with.”

Park City Mountain Resort, UT – While the cycling world has been focused on all things #Interbike this week, big news was happening in the land of lift-access resorts. This may be just what you're looking for if you're still trying to decide what to do this weekend.
Discovery Bike Park, MT – While riding in Big Sky, everyone was telling to check out the Disco Bike Park. It was on my way to Whitefish, MT so I decided I would make the stop. Located near a Philipsburg, MT it was at a small local mountain called Discovery. To reach the bike park you take an old logging road to the backside of the resort. It has a parking area where the bikers circle the wagons for a day of riding. There is no electricity so the chair lift runs on diesel. Just based on the access to this place, I knew it was gonna be a sick park!

Exactly what the majority of us gravity hungry riders are constantly seeking. Within the first couple of runs, the mountain had already devoured a pair of brake pads and the early season symptoms of hand pump had returned.
