WHISTLER, BC – Crankworx has announced that one of the most beloved parts of the Canadian Open Downhill, cheering and jeering from a spot known as Hecklers Rock at Whistler Mountain BIke Park, will not be allowed to continue in 2017. While no official reason has been cited, riders speculate that the increasingly rowdy nature of the "party on the rock" has recently grown to the point of interfering in the race, causing Whistler's new owner, Vail Resorts, to nix the tradition for safety's sake. Crankworx offers the following farewell tribute.

WINTER PARK, CO – The 2017 Colorado Freeride Festival soldiered on following heavy rain Friday night into Saturday morning at Trestle Bike Park. Unsuprisingly, no one seemed too worried about getting wet, and the Intergalactic Pond Crossing went on as scheduled. Despite the hero dirt and cool temps left behind on Saturday once the rain subsided, slopestyle finals were moved to Sunday. Both slopestyle and downhill took place under sunny, blue skies on Sunday.
WINTER PARK, CO – The 2017 Colorado Freeride Festival is heading into its third day under dark and rainy skies at Trestle Bike Park. Conditions on Thursday and Friday were favorable, with Air DH taking flight on Upper Rainmaker Thursday, Super D taking riders down Shy Ann into Boulevard on Friday, as well as the groms beginning the Green Horn-It! Challenge before being postponed by weather. Slopestyle qualifying has been heated as well. Check out the results and some photos from the action so far.
When we purchased ourMTBparks Passes, the first thing my fiancé and I did was pull out the map to see how we could start stringing some of these parks together on an extended weekend or vacation week. We live in Pennsylvania, and there is a very large selection throughout the Northeast, so we loaded up the Sprinter van and headed out on a five-day trip to make the most of our MTBparks Passes.

WINTER PARK, CO – The 2017 Colorado Freeride Festival returns to Trestle Bike Park July 27 through 30. Slopestyle may steal the show at the festival, but for those who simply want to get to the bottom of the mountain as fast as possible, there's still plenty of racing to feed your gravity fix.
