MTBparks Staff Review: For the 2014 season I finally decided to purchase a neck brace. With more and more of them showing up at bike parks I figured they had to be doing something right. So I started doing some research looking for a simple brace in a median price range and decided I was going to skip the carbon option and go with a composite set up.

When the dirt-adorned descend on Whistler Village for the Fat Tire Crit it's the nearest thing Whistler has to the Running of the Bulls - the criterium brings speed, stoke and spandex to the cobble-stoned streets of Whistler Village as racers whizz past deep throngs of spectators through a technical course of winding chicanes and ramps. Winning the Crit requires more tactical and technical mastery than savagery, making the Fat Tire Crit a crowd-pleaser as racers embrace the law of rider Darwinism: "lap or be lapped."
