Beech Mountain, NC – Downhill mountain biking fans from every part of the Southeast have spent this summer enjoying the new downhill trails right in their backyard at Beech Mountain Bike Park. From September 28-29, 2013 everyone will have the opportunity to show off their new skills and trail knowledge as the season comes to a close with the third and final race of the Beech Mountain Monster Energy Race Series.
Winter Park, CO – Red Bull Final Descent returns to Trestle Bike Park for its fourth year to challenge riders yet again in a grueling 12-hour endurance downhill mountain bike race. For the past three years the event has seen over 100 teams compete each year. The format of the event is simple: The rider or team of riders that completes the most laps down the mountain in 12 hours wins.
Stevens Pass, WA - Stevens Pass just announced they are nearing the opening of their new advanced jump trail. The builders have worked hard all summer to get this trail ready to go and many riders are going to be stoked on this trail. Stevens Pass has one intermediate flowy jump trail, an intermediate single track and an advanced single track. With the opening of the new advanced jump trail, Stevens is giving the riders more options for bigger jumps, as Slingshot Wookie has just 3 tabletop jumps on the lower section of the trail.
Winter Park, CO - Trestle Bike Park has just unveiled their newest and most difficult trail on the mountain, aptly named Hot Wheels. For those of you that visited Trestle earlier this season, you may need to find a way to get back there to ride this new slopestyle trail before the end of the season. If you are one of the few riders that hasn't visited Trestle Bike Park at all, they have just given you another reason to make the trip.
Crested Butte, CO - The Evolution Bike Crew has been hard at work this season to open some killer new trails and improve some of the existing trails on the mountain. The most recent addition to Evolution's growing trail network is a new jump line named Timetable. This new trail made up of fast smooth sections of booters and berms along with some wood features will offer a different finish to the most travelled trail in the bike park, Timeline.
