WINTER PARK, CO – Trestle Bike Park will call 2016 a wrap this weekend, closing the season out with its "Hops and Handlebars" festival on Saturday, September 24. The bike park will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the festival will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the Derailer Bar on Saturday.
MAMMOTH LAKES, CA — The 2016 Kamikaze Bike Games at Mammoth Mountain kick off this Thursday and will mark the second to last weekend of bike park operations. Now in the fourth year of its modern incarnation, the event will take place Thursday, September 15 through Sunday, September 18, and feature Dual Slalom, Cross Country, Enduro (part of the California Enduro Series), Pro GRT Downhill and more. The original Kamikaze games ended in 2001.
KILLINGTON, VT – Due to an upcomming Spartan Race held at the resort, Killington Bike Park will temporarily limit chairlift access for bikes. Beginning today, September 15, the Ramshead and K1 Gondola will be closed to bikes until Wednesday, September 21.
WHISTLER, BC – The Whistler Mountain Bike Park will begin its end of summer closing schedule this weekend with the Peak Zone and new Creekside Zone closing Sunday, September 18. The Fitzsimmons and Garbonzo Zones will remain open until October 10, weather permitting.
KILLINGTON, VT – After nearly five months of racing across six states and eight venues, the Eastern States Cup enduro series came down to one final weekend at Killington Bike Park in Vermont with ro racers competing for $6,600 and amateur racers vying for more than $10,000 in prizes. KEYSTONE, CO – The end of bike park season is near in the Rockies, and Keystone Bike Park will be among the first to call it a wrap this Sunday, September 18. Keystone will load bikes Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
MAMMOTH LAKES, CA – The Mammoth Mountain Bike Park recently dropped the ropes on its newest trail, Smooth Operator, and freeride legend Cam Zink just happened to be in town. The resort says the signature jump trail picks up where Pipeline left off, with a series of step-ups, step-downs and some flowy features that make it a fitting sequel to Pipeline, and allows riders to link the two for all new line down the mountain. ROXBURY, NY – Platekill Bike Park will call it quits for the season Sunday, September 18. The New York Resort will open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for its final weekend, and re-open Columbus Weekend (October 8-9) for one more weekend of mountain biking in conjunction with the Eastern States Cup DH Races and PLATTEPALOOZA.
