Snowbird's new Big Mountain Trail is open with 7.5 miles of the most scenic riding in Utah. The Big Mountain Trail takes riders from the top of the Tram through Gad Valley and back to the Snowbird Center with an average grade of 8 percent. Snowbird also offers 7 miles of cross-country trails on lower mountain that do not require a pass.

Access: Hidden Peak (Tram MTB ticket required), Down-traffic ONLY after 11 a.m.
*Trail Rating: Blue (intermediate)
Distance: 7.5 miles from Hidden Peak to the Snowbird Center via Dick Bass Highway.
Trail drops 2,900 vertical feet with an 8 percent average grade. Wide-open straightaways, tight forested turns, small earthen tabletops, wooden bridges and amazing down-canyon views. Very little pedaling required. Helmets required.
Adult: $19 Half-Day, $29 All-Day
Child: $16 Half-Day, $24 All-Day
Half Day is 3 hours, Child is 16 years and younger. If a participant is younger than 18, a parent or guardian must be present to accept release of liability and waiver.

Snowbird, UT – Last August word began to spread about the potential for new DH mountain bike trails in Little Cottonwood Canyon, home to two epic Utah ski destinations – Alta and Snowbird.
