Mt. Bachelor Bike Park Overview
After last summer's massive trail building effort, Mt. Bachelor Bike Park is finally ready to roll.
Working with Gravity Logic, trail builders completed the first phase of the planned trail network last summer. So far the resort offers three distinct top-to-bottom routes with one excavated blue flow trail, 2 black singletracks and a blue singletrack.
Presently Mt. Bachelor's Downhill Bike Park is currently for intermediate, advanced and expert downhill bikers only. There will not be any beginner trails open until the Lava Flow trail is complete in summer 2014. However, once fully built as approved, will the resort will offer more than 13 miles of excavated and single-track downhill mountain bike trails. Trail construction is planned to occur each summer until the approved network of trails is complete.
What's on the schedule for 2014 at Mt. Bachelor?
This is the first full summer Bachelor will be open for lift access downhill mountain biking. New trails will be added to the existing network throughout the summer. Food and beverage service is available outside of the Pine Marten Lodge and on Fridays and Saturdays the Bike Park will be open until 7:00pm, giving riders some of the best twilight riding in the Cascades.
The most-difficult Rattlesnake trail joins upper Lava Flow, a section of Cone Run and Blade Runner on the list of open trails for the season.
