Windham Mountain Overview
While Windham isn't open for lift-accessed biking all summer, it still has plenty to offer. Miles of quiet and scenic country roads make for great cross-country cycling tours, and mountain biking on the trails Windham Mountain offers speed, thrills and an eagle's-eye view of Greene County's high peaks. Many of the old carriage roads to the nineteenth-century grand hotels are still intact in the forest preserve, and offer a different kind of mountain biking adventure.
More importantly, and while you'll find Windham on the MtbParks roster, Windham always plays host to at least one major mountain bike event each summer. And if you're racing, you'll have a chance to check out the terrain at Windham first hand.

Unfortunately, Windham Mountain is only open for riding during race events. However, the trails at Windham descend 1,200 feet and cover a range of terrain featuring fast sections with good flow as well as some technical areas. In dry conditions the trails are very fast and can have good flow, however, if it rains the mountain turns into quite the muddy mess with lots of standing puddles and very muddy trails.
Those that race 4X and dual slalom can enjoy a massive course at Windham with it's own lift to the top! As the course descends, riders have large berms and tables to look forward to all the way down.
