Pajarito Mountain Overview
Pajarito Bike Park is a two-time Top Five Winner in the MTBparks Riders' Choice Awards for the Southwest region.
You've just got to love the small town resorts that try so hard to give us a little summer gravity fix each year. Pajarito Mountain in New Mexico is no exception. Like many small, family resorts, Pajarito depends on dedicated volunteers who maintain and build all of the mountain's trails. If you're ever in the area, and it happens to be one of their opening weekends, give Pajarito a visit. Pajarito Mountain is always open for hiking and cross-country biking, but lift-served hiking and biking are available only on selected Saturdays through the summer.
2015 PAJARITO EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
June 5 - June 6: 2015 Summerfest and Pajarito Punishment Downhill Race
June 6: Opening Day
August 8 - August 9: Los Alamos Enduro Fest
September TBD: Ullr Fest
WHAT'S NEW AT PAJARITO BIKE PARK
The ski area is being transitioned to the county and the owner's of Sipapu, Purgatory and Snow Bowl. There is a good chance that the county will fund some flow trail construction later this summer but that has not yet been budgeted. Everything else will continue to be maintained by the volunteers who have always worked on the trails.
Pajarito Mountain Ski Area is located five miles west of Los Alamos, New Mexico.
