What's the story about Mountain Creek Bike Park?
Mountain Creek Bike Park was voted the #1 Bike Park in the Mid-Atlantic & Southeast by riders in 2013.
And for a good reason! Mountain Creek Bike Park boasts more trails than any other park in the region. The park offers a mix of downhill, freeride and cross-country trails, making it a perfect destination for anyone who loves mountain biking. In recent years, the park has undergone an ambitious expansion and trail building program, employing the talents of freeride legend Jeff Lenosky who introduced several higher-end, Lenosky signature features.
Their extensive trail network is designed to invigorate and challenge all types of riders and ability levels…from beginners, to advanced, including freestylers and downhill racers.
Mountain Creek offers one of the longest lift-served riding seasons in North America with one of the most efficient mountain bike lifts (The Cabriolet Gondola) in the world. Their vision is to provide a world-class trail network of purposefully designed and immaculately maintained natural terrain and man-made features.

The rolling terrain offers a fun and challenging ride for cross-country riders looking to get out and explore the woods, as well as athletic families who are looking to explore the access roads that link the resort's 4 mountain peaks.
Northern NJ is also home to some of the best technical single track and cross-country mountain biking in the Northeast. You'll find tons of options and variety to choose from for all levels of ability, all of which are easily accessible from Mountain Creek Bike Park. Bring your bike quiver and use Mountain Creek as your home base for your next biking adventure.
In addition to all of Mountain Creek's bike related projects, the resort is going full-speed ahead with exciting developments including a new base lodge, mountain coaster, zip lines and more.
What was the big news from last season at Mountain Creek?
Last year Mountain Creek added 3 new trails: Candyland, DMHL and 99. The crew also re-imagined its signature freeride trail–Alpine and expanded the park's cross-country trail network, adding several new loop extensions.
What's new for the bike park in 2014?
While the lift ticket prices only increased by a dollar, Mountain Creek makes it worth the extra buck by extending their hours to this summer to 7pm, from 6pm last year.
For this year the bike park continues making improvements to its existing trail network, and is looking to add several new features including: a new advanced/intermediate jump line and new green trail.

Mountain Creek Bike Park, formerly operated as Diablo Bike Park, used to be geared towards the intermediate to experienced riders only. Since Mountain Creek began managing the bike park again in 2012, their aim has been to rebuild the existing trail network and improve the flow, drainage, and maintenance of the existing trails, while adding several new trails and features including improved beginner trail offerings, and a 50-foot BagJUMP air bag.”
In addition to its focus on the downhill park, last summer Mountain Creek reopened the cross-country trails.
This may not be the ideal park for beginners, as most of the trails in the park cater to the more experienced riders. By the sounds of it however, the Mountain Creek is working to become more beginner-friendly, so stay tuned.
