Mountain Creek Bike Park, formerly operated as Diablo Bike Park, used to be geared towards the intermediate to experienced riders only. Since Mountain Creek began managing the bike park again in 2012, their aim has been to rebuild the existing trail network and improve the flow, drainage, and maintenance of the existing trails, while adding several new trails and features including improved beginner trail offerings, and a 50-foot BagJUMP air bag.”
In addition to its focus on the downhill park, last summer Mountain Creek reopened the cross-country trails.
This may not be the ideal park for beginners, as most of the trails in the park cater to the more experienced riders. By the sounds of it however, the Mountain Creek is working to become more beginner-friendly, so stay tuned.

I just went to Mountain Creek for their Spring Classic, round #2 of the ProGRT and round #3 of the VESC, and thoroughly enjoyed the trails! I could tell a LOT of work was done to keep the trails in the excellent condition. I competed in the ProGRT race and was pretty stoked on the race course, it was very fun and pretty challenging for me as a Cat1 racer. I got the chance to ride a few other trails including Dominion and Ninety Nine, where were the trails I rode the most outside of the race course.
The jumps on Dominion were really well built, the faces and landings were nicely sculpted and they definitely flowed. I did feel that a few of the jumps were too short for the amount of speed and the shape of the lips, but for the most part if you hit the jumps right they would actually flow pretty good and set you up just right for the whole line.
The lift was pretty efficient, the bike park had a pretty well stocked bike shop and a ton of rental bikes available for those looking to rent a bike. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and the resort overall is beautiful and awesome! It really is an A+ resort.
