Sugarloaf Bike Park Overview
Sugarloaf Bike Park is the 2014 Best Bike Park and a two-time top-five winner in the MTBparks.com Riders' Choice Best Bike Parks Awards for the Eastern Canada Region.
This newly crowned east coast king was built by Gravity Logic, Inc., a fact made evident as the lush, green ferns of the deciduous forest disappear into your peripheral vision and the flow sculpted into the dark, tacky dirt somehow seems to multiply the 507 feet of vert. But don’t be fooled; tight, rocky singletrack and root staircases await those seeking a technical challenge.
Sugarloaf Provincial Park’s downhill bike park, designed and built by Whistler’s Gravity Logic, offers something for everyone.
Beginners and experts alike will experience the thrill of riding a wide variety of trails, from wide and smooth green trail to challenging singletrack descents. Whether you're just beginning to ride or you're an experienced veteran, Sugarloaf Bike Park will provide an epic day of riding.
Beginner riders will love the smooth, gentle cruisers. Intermediate riders will have a blast on the twisty single track. Experts will find a challenge on the tight, steep and rocky black diamond trails. Most everyone will surely get hooked on the fast and flowy jump trail.
The trails are jam packed with berms, tabletops, drops, step-ups and wooden features making a trip to Sugarloaf Bike Park a must hit spot this summer!
BEYOND THE BIKE PARK
Sugarloaf Provincial Park is comprised 2,600 acres of wooded parkland. There are various cross-country biking trails for riders of all levels. There is also a network of cross-country ski trails that is used for biking. The resort is currently working hard to improve our network of XC biking trails,
WHAT'S NEW AT SUGARLOAF BIKE PARK
Summer of 2014 saw the launch of a new top to bottom single track called 'Ridgeline'. Also rebuilt the majority of features on Sugar Daddy and added a few new ones. Also added features on Supa Sweet.
Finished construction of a 4KM XC MTB / Hiking trail which has proven to be very popular.
Sugarloaf Bike Park will continue working hard to improve its downhill trails as well as develop the cross-country trail network in 2015. Last summer Sugarloaf Bike Park opened Ridgeline, a singletrack trail, and this spring the resort says it will add some berms and other features.
