Park City Mountain Resort, UT – Summer is here in Park City as the resort is the first in the area to fire things up for the season. The Town Lift opens up to mountain bikes today, with the Crescent Lift scheduled to open June 21, opening more than 70 miles of lift-accessed terrain on the town’s centralized resort.
Three chairlifts will run through the summer, serving more than 70 miles of hiking and biking trails across the resort’s terrain. PayDay and Crescent Lifts will carry riders from the resort’s base area, while Town Lift will provide access to the mountain directly from the lodging, dining and shopping of Park City’s Historic Main Street.
The resort’s three lifts will open for the season on the following dates:
- PayDay Lift – May 23
- Town Lift – June 6
- Crescent Lift – June 21
PayDay Lift will provide uphill bike access until Crescent Lift opens June 21, at which point bike access will move from PayDay to Crescent. Town Lift will carry bikes all summer.
On Saturday, June 21, Park City Mountain Resort hosts the JANS & White Pine Touring Super Bike Demo – showcasing 2014’s newest bikes from manufacturers including Trek; Specialized; SCOTT; Santa Cruz and Rocky Mountain Bicycles. Bikes will be available for demo on all open PCMR trails for free from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (valid ID or credit card required). Uphill chairlift access will require a lift ticket or summer season pass, but all registered demo participants can purchase a single-ride or day-long lift ticket for 50% off. Demo headquarters will be located in the resort’s Signature 3 learning area, next to the plaza and summer climbing wall.
Summer operations at Park City Mountain Resort continue through October 19, 2014.
