The resort says Trax was largely inspired by the success of Greenhorn, its first top-to-bottom beginner flow trail last year, which allowed for a lot of progression and accessibility for novice riders at the park.

Trax Beginner Bike Park is located on Mountain Creek’s Great Lawn, at the base of the Sky View Gondola and is designed to be accessible for a variety of ages, from a 2-year-old on a kick bike to an adult looking to get into mountain biking, according to the resort.
“Our goal is for kids and beginners alike to feel comfortable while learning the fundamentals and fall in love with this lifelong sport. Anyone can learn to bike or practice their skills in this safe and fun environment with our experienced instructors,” said Director of Resort Operations Jason Bays in a press release.
To help introduce Trax, Mountain Creek will be hosting a free kids bike clinic taught by professionally trained coaches on Tuesday, August 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. Kids can use their own bikes, or try one of Mountain Creek’s free demo bikes.
