Construction of five new trails at the Whitefish Bike Park is ahead of schedule, with two of the new trails completely open, and another two-thirds completed. Freebird and Overflow, both expert flow trails, are ready to ride, while Kashmir is mostly open and weaves in and out of the intermediate Summit Trail. Chair 1 starts spinning Saturday, June 15, for lift-served access.
Other downhill bike trails ready for opening weekend include the Summit Trail, Root Canal, Cyndi's Loppers, Dave's Dive, as well as the majority of the cross-country trails.
Other new trails, GNR and Classic Rock, as well as marquee freeride trail, Runaway Train, will be opened as fast as snow melt allows.
