Boyne Mountain Bike Park Overview
Boyne Mountain is a 2015 Top 5 winner in the MTBparks.com Riders' Choice Best Bike Parks Awards for the Midwest Region.
Boyne Mountain, catch a chairlift to get yourself and your bike to the top of the mountain and head back down via the rugged mountain biking trails or a paved trail system. Enjoy the seven mile paved loop at Boyne Mountain which from the mountain's top, takes you down the backside of the mountain with hills, turns and great views then around the golf course, by the Pro Shop and onto the Mountain Pass Road for your journey back to the resort village. Another option for those seeking an easy paved trek is also from the mountain's top and winding downhill through the wooded areas and back across the hill, ending in the resort village. If true northern Michigan mountain biking trails are your choice, you can grab a map and head out on 32.5 miles of marked trails. In either case, be on the lookout for friendly wildlife along the way.
Getting to Boyne Mountain Resort
Boyne Mountain is located in northern Michigan less that 4 hours north of Detroit, and less than 3 from Grand Rapids. If you're visiting from Canada, the park is 2 hours south of the border crossing at Sault Ste. Marie, ONT.

Being from Michigan and traveling to a number of different parks I have to admit that Highlands was fun. The trails are pretty tight and technical. There are a number of features that are bigger than I expected. Overall I would say that this was a really good downhill system especially for Michigan. I'll definitely go back. I figured I'ld give a review since they were kind enough to give parks pass members a free lift ticket.
