The country’s largest celebration of mountain sport and lifestyle drawing more than 3,000 athletes and 53,000 spectators to Vail each year. The GoPro Mountain Games showcases more than 25 sports in professional and amateur categories for more than $100K in prize money.
Getting to Vail Resort
Vail is located 100 miles West of Denver International Airport. Accessed by 3 exits off of Interstate 70, the main Vail exit is #176, go back under the highway from the roundabout, and head around the second roundabout. Going right (West) will take you towards the Lionshead Parking Structure. Follow the roundabout to the East to access the Vail Village Structure.

VAIL, CO – July 17, 2014 – Vail Resorts recently announced that all available hiking and biking trails on Vail Mountain are now open for the summer, including the Kinnickinnick and Sunlight hiking trails, which recently re-opened. Both trails had been closed in recent years due to construction projects including The 10th, Gondola One, and the Mountain Top Express Lift (#4).
Vail, CO – For Teva, the countdown begins for the riders to begin showing up and prepping for the inaugural Teva Mountain Games. From February 10-12th, Vail will be host to the event and is the only winter competion in North America!
Vail, CO — The upper portion of Big Mamba, one of two new “flow” trails planned for Vail Mountain, will open this Friday in Lionshead with access from Eagle's Nest down to the top of the Born Free Express Lift (No. 8). From there, riders will be able to access other routes down the mountain. Work on the lower portion of Big Mamba will continue throughout the remainder of the summer.
