The Kirkwood Mountain Bike Park offers an exciting network of lift accessed trails for beginner through advanced riders. The network of rugged trails take you through spectacular terrain high above the Kirkwood valley, choose a ride that's as challenging or mellow as you please!
Kirkwood's summer trail network is comprised of 22 trails in the valley, and 12 in the lift accessed mountain bike park and 11.5 miles of single track. The bike park features log rides, pump track and other terrain park features.
There are two chairlifts operating to get you up the hill, open from the start of July each summer, trail conditions permitting. Advanced riders looking for a challenging cross country rides should check out the Sentinels Trail, intermediate riders should try the Robey Wolfe trail. Mountain Bike Rentals are available at the High Alpine Adventure Center.
Getting to Kirkwood Mountain Resort
Kirkwood is a located directly south of Lake Tahoe, and is a 50 minute drive from South Lake Tahoe, CA. From Reno, NV it's a 1.66 hour drive.

Kirkwood Bike Park offers 11 downhill mountain bike trails over 11.5 miles of singletrack, covering a variety of skill levels. The base area provides a skills park with several jumps and ladder features. From the base, the connecting trails offer another fistful of cross-country options. Kirkwood isn't known for smooth flowy trails, which some will love and some will hate.
